Ayres House is a two bedroom apartment within the Grade II* listed Hornsey Town Hall renovation project in Haringey, North London.
The primary bedroom was designed in a monochrome colour palette with a minimalist, contemporary interior design aesthetic. The room features a plush mid-tone broadloom carpet, lime wash canopy feature wall and backlight recess ceiling, custom made jacquard blackout curtains and king-size raised panne velvet bed.
It was important for the client to have a home office. Providing a professional background for daily video calls, whilst also functioning as a comfortable guest bedroom for family and friends who regularly visit for long periods of time.
Continuing the monochromatic interior colour palette, this room features warmer neutral tones. The linen Ottoman bed creates valuable storage for apartment living. Opposite, a walnut wood desk provides space for working from home. Custom herringbone curtains, jacquard accent chair and wool and cashmere throws add texture and warmth.
Finished to the highest standards, this stylish apartment includes floor-to-ceiling windows in the open-plan living area, flooding the room with plenty of natural light. Referencing the original wood panelling and flooring in the Town Hall, chevron timber flooring flows from the hallways through to the living spaces.
